Fundraiser brings Mundi $4,500 Closer to Spain

Thanks everyone for making our May 22 fundraiser at the Barr Mansion such a huge success. So many Mundi supporters in Austin and various parts of the state are so generous. We ended the evening with an extra $4,500 in Mundi's coffers.

Our hats off to our sponsors: St. Andrew's Episcopal School, the Barr Mansion, Revolution Motors, Victoria Corcoran, and the Annoying Instrument Orchestra.

Host John Aielli asked Mundi on to tell his listeners about their upcoming trip to Spain and the Barr Mansion Fundraiser this Thursday, May 22.

5/22 Mundi-Spain Fundraiser

Please join Mundi in concert beneath the thatched roof and twinkling lights of the glorious Barr Mansion in north Austin on Thursday, May 22.

Award-winning wines, beer and soft drinks will be there for you to savor, along with European cheeses and artisan breads. Tickets are $25, or two for $40. (Drinks are included in the ticket price.)

This event is a fundraiser for the group's tour of Spain. The group has been invited to play in front of Granada’s cathedral on July 4, and will then set off on a major tour of the southern part of the country. It’s a huge honor for Mundi, but with it comes quite a price.

Mundi to tour Spain, July 08

The tour will begin with a show at the Granada International Festival of Music and Dance, Spain's top music festival. Mundi will perform on July 4 on a stage in front of the city's grand cathedral. More details about the tour, and our fundraising efforts, to follow shortly.

Coming soon... Mundi and the legendary Annoying Instrument Orchestra (AiO) perform at the Cactus Cafe at the University of Texas on Tuesday, May 6th. Find out about the AIO at their MySpace page.

Door open 7:30 pm. AiO will perform first, then Mundi. It's a free show, but because of the great generosity of AiO, all musician tips for the evening will go towards the Send Mundi to Spain fund.

Mundi performs at this art fair where Austin ’s vibrant Second Street District converges with the banks of Lady Bird Lake. Hundreds of juried independent and emerging artists will descend on the hub of innovation, expression, and individuality that is Austin, Texas – presenting rousing art for every budget. 20,000+ art enthusiasts from the region and nation are expected at Art City Austin 08. Tickets are $8 for adults, 2-day Art Passes available for $15. Free for children 12 & under. Mundi performs April 13, Sunday, 3:45pm, on the Seaholm Stage.

All tickets to Art City Austin include free admission and shuttle to Austin Museum of Art—Downtown and Blanton Museum of Art.
